Johannesburg – President Cyril Ramaphosa said restrictions on alcohol sales will be partially lifted.
Ramaphosa made the announcement during his address to the nation on Sunday.
The sale of alcohol from retail outlets for off-site consumption will be allowed between 10am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.
Alcohol sales for on-site consumption will also be permitted as per licence conditions up to 10pm.
The president announced that South Africa has been moved to adjusted alert Level 2 from Monday.
