Alexander Forbes Group terminates job of its CEO Andrew Darfoor

Alexander Forbes Group Holdings, a financial services company said on Tuesday it terminated the employment of its Group Chief Executive Andrew Darfoor with immediate effect, citing “a loss of confidence and trust”.

Darfoor was appointed in 2016, taking over from Edward Kieswetter who retired.
The South African company  has named an independent non-executive director, M Ramplin as the interim group chief executive.
“The board is prioritising the search for a new group chief executive and is confident that an appointment will be made imminently,” it said.
Alexander Forbes share price opened at R500, and rallied by as much as 5.36% to trade at R511 by 09:22.
