Lebanon – Lebanon is in mourning after a massive explosion ripped through a port in Beirut, killing at least 137 people and causing widespread destruction.
The fallout from the disaster has not been Lebanon’s only concern.
Like most countries, Lebanon is grappling with a coronavirus epidemic that has put the country’s health system under strain.

According to a tally by Johns Hopkins University, as it stands, there have been 5,417 infections and 68 deaths related to coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Another 355 new infections were recorded in the country on Wednesday, the biggest rise in cases yet, data from the university showed.
Cases have been rising since the end of June, a worrying sign for a country in economic crisis.
