LUSAKA Dynamos head to Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium looking to spoil Zesco United’s dream of an eighth league title in today’s Super Division Stream A rescheduled Week 8 match.
The Lusaka outfit has enjoyed fine form under coach Patrick Phiri and are unbeaten in the last six games (four wins and two draws).
Dynamos and Kabwe Warriors are tied on 22 points, but Phiri’s side are second on a healthier goal difference, a point behind leaders Zanaco and two better off Zesco.
Should Lusaka Dynamos win, they will shoot back to the top on 25 points, opening a two-points gap.
But Zesco are not likely to roll over as they push for a top finish and boast of a sharp frontline of Jesse Were, John Chingándu and Lazarous Kambole.
Coming from a 1-1 draw to Kabwe Warriors last Saturday, Zesco will do themselves a favour to pick maximum points at home to go on level points with rivals Zanaco.
Zesco has won seven of the last eight ties between the two sides, losing only once. Coach George Lwandamina said the team was not under pressure to assume leadership.
“Yes we are the defending champions, but we are not under pressure. The gap between us and the leaders is not wide and we will fill it up. Every game is important and we will not swim in past glory but take the game seriously,” he said.
Phiri said the team will continue with its target of picking maximum points in the remaining games to heighten chances of qualifying for the 2019/2020 CAF competition.

He will look to skipper Congolese Chris Mugalu, Namibian duo of Petrus Shitembi and Mouse Lemisa to deliver an away victory.
