Car sales increase again in March

Johannesburg – More people and businesses bought cars in the month of March, according to the latest data from Naamsa Automotive Business Council.

The spike in vehicle sales comes despite major global supply chain disruptions and global component shortages.

Naamsa reported that over 5,000 new cars, light commercials and trucks were sold last month.

Naamsa indicated that the growth in sales beat expectations.

It also highlighted that these sales were the highest monthly total since October 2019.

Passenger cars experienced the biggest rise in the reporting period.
