Johannesburg – Business Unity South Africa says it’s no longer waiting on a High Court declaratory order for clarity on the introduction of mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations in the workplace.
It sought the order late last year to help give business owners and employers confidence on where exactly the law stands on their rights.
But Busa CEO Cas Coovadia said that since its request to the court a number of employees have formally lost actions against their companies.
He said Busa had supported employers in many of the cases.
Coovadia said Busa’s legal team is of the view that a declaratory order is not needed.
