Eskom has announced stage 1 rotational load shedding on Thursday, which will be implemented from 12:00 until 22:00.
The power utility said in a statement the load shedding was because of maintenance works being done at one of its plants.
“Stage 1 rotational load-shedding requires 1000 MW to be loadshed nationwide. Load shedding is conducted as a last resort in order to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout,” Eskom said.
More details to be shared later.
