After unusually hot temperatures experienced for a couple of days in the Gauteng area, temperatures in the upper region are expected to go down. After some record spring heat, the mercury is going down, while Cape Town remains pretty cold. Though the skies will generally remain clear across many parts of Gauteng, it will still be hot.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, however, Gauteng achieved record highs for this time of the year, with Pretoria getting into the mid-30s.
Today, the maximum in Pretoria will be 32 degrees, with 30 expected in Johannesburg.
