Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have attended a dubar – a traditional celebration of leaders – as part of their visit whilst in Ghana.
The Prince of Wales and his wife, Camilla, arrived in Accra – Ghana, on Friday night and flew into Kumasi International Airport on Sunday.
Children were lined up on the streets waving miniature Ghanaian and UK flags in order to welcome them. Charles narrated that returning to Kumasi brought back fond memories of the time he spent in the city 41 years ago.
He ended a short speech with “Medase paa,” in the Asante language which means “Thank you very much”.
Prince Charles is expected to address young entrepreneurs on Monday.
The royal couple began their tour of West Africa in Gambia and will head to Nigeria next.
