Johannesburg – The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) insists it’s not in a coalition with the African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu Natal but rather a working partnership.

The ANC lost several wards to the IFP in this election, forcing the ruling party to seek out power-sharing agreements.

The IFP said it will still be in the opposition benches in ANC controlled wards whilst maintaining a memorandum of understanding in others.
