Johannesburg – Judgement has been reserved in the lockdown regulations case brought by the Liberty Fighters Network against Cogta Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
They opposed an application for leave to appeal by Dlamini-Zuma.
The organisation made claims that lockdown regulations are no longer legally valid.
The High Court in Pretoria, earlier this month, ruled aspects of the lockdown as unconstitutional and invalid.
However, the ruling was suspended for 14 days to allow the minister to review, amend and republish the regulations. President of the Liberty Fighters Network, Reyno de Beer, said the organisation is confident the courts will uphold the decision that the regulations were unconstitutional.
The organisation is arguing that the government has failed to amend the regulations by the 23 June deadline, rendering the application moot.
