Limpopo-born singer Makhadzi says she will never judge anyone or any celebrity who takes their own life.
This after reports claim rapper Riky Rick died of suicide on Wednesday, February 23.
Falling victim to cyberbullying herself, Makhadzi said she knowns first-hand how lonely it feels at the top.
“We have no one to talk to, because most of the people who are our closest friends are the ones betraying us.”
She added that celebrities are human too and sometimes people forget that.
“I wish our fans understood that we are human beings too. We feel pain just like anyone else. Especially when you find out that millions of people are making fun about a situation that you cannot change. How do you survive that if you are not strong?
“Instead of helping us they go around bragging about our situation just to prove that they know us better,” she added.
She urged people to stop judging everything they see on social media and real life.
“If I was driving a car, now I’m catching a taxi…DON’T ASK AND LAUGH . She doesn’t have a baby , don’t say it loud and laugh. The finger no longer has a ring…DON’T ASK and laugh! He’s no longer catching that 5am bus…DON’T ASK and laugh. She was staying in town, now she’s back home…DON’T ASK and laugh!”.
