Mamelodi Sundowns set to sign a number of international stars

Johannesburg – Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to make a number of high profile signings at the end of the season with one of them already being a done deal.

The Brazilians made a number of big signings at the beginning of the current season however it had a strong local flavour to it.

They roped in some of the PSL’s top stars in Kermit Erasmus, Aubrey Modiba, Peter Shalulile, Rushine De Reuck, George Maluleka, Ricardo Goss, Lesedi Kapinga, Grant Margerman, Haashim Domingo, Mothobi Mvala, Khuliso Mudau and Gift Motupa.

The only player to join Mamelodi Sundowns that wasn’t from the PSL was Brian Onyango and he too is a former Maritzburg United defender.

Sundowns’ transfer business at the end of the current campaign is tipped to have an international flavour to it this time around.

They have already acquired the services of Slovakian hitman Pavol Safranko who comes with bags of European experience while another Al Ahly star is also on the club’s radar.

Al Ahly star Hussein El Shahat has revealed that the DStv Premiership giants have made him an offer to sign for the Chloorkop side next season.

Keagan Dolly has also been linked with a sensational return to Sundowns, while the club is rumoured to also be interested in re-signing Simba star Luis Miquissone but they’ll have to cough up a salary of over R1.5 million a month for him.
