As Manchester City prepare to take on Newcastle United after being crowned Premier League Champions on Tuesday, cub legend Yaya Toure seems to be preparing for a coaching career.

The iconic lanky midfielder made 230 appearances for City in his playing career at the club, having landed at the Etihad Stadium as a marquee signing from La Liga giants Barcelona. Having had an extremely successful career as a player, it is understood that Toure has been hard at work behind the scenes, doing his coaching courses.

While he is sorting out his coaching papers, however, it has since been revealed that Toure’s preferred first coaching destination is South Africa.

He is believed to be a big fan of the strength in competition that exists in the DStv Premiership. That alone has seemed to make it an attractive proposition for him.

A source explained Toure’s current situation. “He is currently doing courses and he knows it will not be easy to crack it in Europe before he has had some experience and he sees South Africa as the ideal country to sharpen his skills and will be open should any team need him.”
