Nehawu expected to sign SARS wage deal

Trade union Nehawu is expected to sign an agreement with the South African Revenue Service at 10am on Tuesday.

Majority union, at SARS, the Public Servants Association on Monday accepted the latest wage offer and has since pronounced an end to the strike.

By Monday evening, Nehawu, which is a minority union at the revenue collector, was adamant it would continue its strike until it got a favourable offer from SARS.

However, the union’s members are believed to have accepted the eight-percent increase offered.
