Johannesburg – Political parties have reacted to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Level 3 regulations.
The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has welcomed the decision, saying the Ramaphosa’s address was expected. It says many South Africans have let their guard down and acted irresponsibly.
However, the Freedom Front Plus (FF+), says proper enforcement of Covid-19 protocols could have prevented the latest crisis.
FF Plus leader, Pieter Groenewald says squandering of emergency relief package has left the country in an extremely difficult situation.
Groenewald says the stricter Level 3 restrictions will cause major damage to the economy, and industries and sectors could close down.
