Orlando Pirates star Gabadinho Mhango has found a new club for next season according to reports.
The Malawian star has concluded a deal with KwaZulu-Natal side AmaZulu, putting an end to his troubles in Mayfair.
Mhango enjoyed a stellar 220/21 campaign for Orlando Pirates however things took a turn fort he worst a season later. Off-field drama meant the Malawian attacker made just two starts for Orlando Pirates this season while making eight cameo appearances off the bench.
“According to a source close to the deal, Orlando Pirates and Usuthu have finalised all details of the transfer that will see Mhango wear the green of AmaZulu next season.” Said a report.
“The two clubs are expected to officially announce the transfer in due course”
“Yes I can confirm that Gabadinho Mhango is going to AmaZulu.” a source told the same publication.
“We had a meeting recently and both parties agreed by mutual consent to part ways.” the Orlando Pirates striker said last month as quoted by Citizen.
“It is a huge relief to me because I was hardly enjoying game time.
“It has been a stressful season for me and I can’t wait to move on and hopefully this will be a new dawn for my career.
“I have been training hard. I have been outstanding during training, but surprisingly, the Orlando Pirates coaches have been ignoring me.
“And there is nothing I can do about it. It could be something personal, I really don’t know what was happening.”
Mhango has been valued at approximately R13 million.
