Johannesburg – Orlando Pirates on Tuesday announced the departure of a number of first-team members with eight players deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Josef Zinnbauer.
Alfred Ndengane, Xola Mlambo, Diamond Thopola, Meshack Maphangule, Thembela Sikhakhane, Brian Hlongwa, Augustine Mulenga, and Tercious Malepe are all now free agents after leaving the Buccaneers.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has met with the following players and their respective representatives and both parties have agreed to mutually terminate their contracts,” said the club in a statement.
“The club would like to thank all the players for their service and wish them the best in their future endeavours.”
