People travelling to the UK from France will not have to be quarantined after the two countries agreed on a reciprocal arrangement.
Boris Johnson announced on Sunday that “it will soon be the time to impose quarantine on people coming into this country by air.”
“No quarantine measures would apply to travellers coming from France at this stage,” added Downing Street.
During a phone call, Mr Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron agreed on the Covid-19 measures.
“Any measures on either side would be taken in a concerted and reciprocal manner,” they said in a joint statement.
They also added that a working group made up of French and British official would be set up to ensure the consultations happened in the coming week.
Earlier this week, France said new quarantine and isolation measures could be introduced for all traveller into the country., however, these would not apply to European countries or Britain, for now.
