Pretoria – Three hospitals in Pretoria have been given the thumbs up by the Public Protector’s office which has started inspecting healthcare facilities across the country.
This week the focus is on Gauteng and hospitals are being assessed on Covid-19 preparedness.
The public protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, said investigations into Covid-19 tenders are also being conducted from their office.
Mkhwebane visited Jubilee, George Mukhari and Steve Biko hospital in Pretoria and she’s quite satisfied with their preparedness.
“It’s promising, it’s not doom and gloom. All in all, I would say things seem okay in these hospitals,” she said.
“Our intention as I said is to support and strengthen the administration if the hospital.”
