Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Luwellyn Landers says the SADC summit is being held to demonstrate solidarity with the people of Western Sahara.
He says the intention of the solidarity conference is to support the people of the Western Sahara on their demands for a separate independent state.
South Africa is hosting the Southern African Development Community (SADC) solidarity conference with the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic in Pretoria Monday and Tuesday.
