Somalia’s police spokesperson, Sadiq Adan Ali Dodishe, on Tuesday survived a roadside bombing in the capital, Mogadishu, reported a privately-owned Radio Dalsan website.
“A land mine had been buried in the side of the road, and it targeted a vehicle the Somali police spokesman was in as it passed near the 21 October road in Waberi District,” added the website.
“Somali police officials said the spokesman survived the explosion attack and is doing well, but shrapnel damaged his vehicle,” said Radio Dalsan.
Only one woman, who was at the scene, was reportedly wounded.
No group has claimed to have carried out the attack.
