Friday marks 10-years since the death of music icon Miriam Makeba.
Mama Africa, as she was affectionately known – died aged 76.
She suffered a heart attack during a concert in Italy.
During her long music career, she performed for the likes of John F Kennedy and Former President Nelson Mandela.
She’s also remembered as a heroine and freedom fighter.
Through her music – she told stories about apartheid.
She lived in exile but was persuaded by Madiba to return home in 1990.
