Johannesburg – The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has been given until 10am on Monday to explain why ActionSA’s name was not included in the ballot list.
The party is now threatening legal action against the commission for this action.
This comes after the IEC’s final draft ballot papers for wards in Gauteng, which contain just the logo of ActionSA.
According to the party, this will limit chances for its supporters to identify its candidates.
The party’s leader, Herman Mashaba, says his party has been informed the matter will not be addressed.
