Johannesburg – The ANC top six say they have not discussed whether secretary-general, Ace Magashule should step down or not.
The top six met on Tuesday night following the warrant of arrest against Magashule.
ANC Treasurer-General, Paul Mashatile says the party has not ventured into whether Magashule should step down or not.
“No, we did not discuss that, the SG briefed us about the letters he has received from law enforcement agencies and the fact that he will cooperate and go to court on Friday.
“You will recall, I am sure most of the generals know that the issue of stepping down is a matter that the NEC still sits with and I am sure in the next NEC the matter will be discussed further,” Mashatile said.
Meanwhile, Magashule has assured fellow party leaders that he will cooperate with law enforcement officials and will present himself before the court on Friday.
