Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has revealed what the future holds for Itumeleng Khune after his excellent performances in the DStv Compact Cup.
Baxter and every Amakhosi fan saw the influence Khune had during the Compact Cup, as both a leader and player.
His performances were instrumental in Warriors FC winning the title, now Baxter has finally spoken about how he experienced Khune’s form.
“He exerts pressure on the other keepers because he’s throwing out a reminder that ‘don’t discount me’”
“What I would say is that it doesn’t surprise me with Itu, that it’s what we’re looking for, it’s that sort of regular performance in training, in games and I’m sure that if Itu does that, then I’m sure he’s going to put a lot of pressure on the guys in front of him,“ said Baxter.
Baxter has certainly taken note of Khune’s form, hinting that he is knocking on the door.
