Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu on dismal away Chippa record

Durban – Bennie McCarthy’s AmaZulu will be away to Chippa United at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in their DStv Premiership match on Wednesday, 10 March.

Usuthu secured a 1-0 over SuperSport United in their previous league game when Siphelele Mthembu’s goal earned the KwaZulu-Natal side a well-deserved victory at Kings Park.

AmaZulu have now taken 16 points from their last possible 18.

The team has claimed 10 points from eight away matches this season, with their last reason on the road a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs in mid-February.

Meanwhile, Chippa United lost 3-0 to Orlando Pirates in their previous league game at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium four days ago.

The Chilli Boys have gone five league games without a victory and they have claimed six points from as many home matches this season.

In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Chippa United have met in 11 league matches since 2012/13.

AmaZulu are currently sixth in the DStv Premiership standings with 28 points after 18 matches, while Chippa United are down in 13th place with 16 points after 18 fixtures.
