Cape Town – Cape Town City owner John Comitis says the club will endeavor to retain the services of their best players amid the uncertainty of the coronavirus.
With the ability to complete the 2019/2020 Premier Soccer League season still in doubt, clubs are being forced to rein in their spending ambitions.
Comitis is hopeful that they won’t need to sell players to generate income even though concerns over how to pay staff wages have become the priority.
“At this stage, what we are trying to do is to keep all our best players, I think everyone is trying to do that, ”
“Th sooner we go back, the less damage will be done. it’s fine to sell your players, but you have to remain competitive,” said Comitis.
City went into the enforced break in tenth place on the PSL table, 21 points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs with seven games to play.
