Johannesburg – ABEX Pharmaceutica says its Cold Guard oral spray is not a treatment for Covid-19.
The company announced that the spray is able to deactivate 98.3% of the virus.
However, Chair of the company, John Hallam, has said that the spray has not been tested on humans or animals.
“Firstly it is not a treatment, secondly there have been no trials on humans and animals, it has only been done in a laboratory and it was merely to test the mechanism of action which works exactly the same way as the cold virus,” Hallam said.
He added that more trials are still underway.
