Johannesburg – Eskom says it is battling to keep the lights on as the electricity demand is increasing.
The power utility says there is a deficit between demand and available generation capacity.
South Africa is currently on stage 2 rolling blackouts. The power cuts are expected to last until Monday.
Eskom said it is doing all it can to mediate the situation.
