Durban – The ANC Youth League in eThekwini is calling for justice after one of its members was gunned down last week.
Branch secretary Kingdom Gcabashe was killed outside a friend’s house in Hammarsdale near Pietermaritzburg.
ANC provincial secretary Mdumiseni Ntuli said the party is concerned about losing lives to violence but stated that they are not aware of any internal conflicts that would lead to killings.
Ntuli also said the police’s investigation would hopefully yield more information on the motives behind the violence.
Ntuli, however, refused to be drawn on speculation on whether the killing was politically motivated.
