Johannesburg – South Africa soccer coaches, clubs and players took to social media to wish Orlando Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari a speedy recovery after he tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday.
His club, Orlando Pirates confirmed Motshwari showed flu-like symptoms last week and his results came back positive after underground tests.
His teammates, other players and fans showed support for him on Friday morning.
“Midfield Maestro! Buccaneer, you have too much resistance an strength to withstand this virus. I want to see you back on the pitch doing what you famous for,” said Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane in a Twitter post.
Motshwari’s former club Bidvest Wits also tweeted: “We’d like to wish former #TheCleverBoys midfielder Ben Motshwari a speedy recovery.”
