Johannesburg – Momentum Metropolitan received the highest number of death claims this year.
According to the company, this was mainly due to Covid-19.
The company paid out R10.7-billion in claims compared to an average of R5.6-billion per year over three pre-pandemic years.
This saw the company lose 34% in normalised annual earnings. But, there’s some good news for the group.
Momentum Investments and Momentum Metropolitan Health showed strong operating profit growth.
