Johannesburg – Home Affairs has been granted an interdict that prohibits undertakers from intimidating its staff.
On Tuesday, police clashed with protesters when they tried to shut down the Home Affairs head office in Pretoria.
The funeral industry’s Unification Task Team has been threatening a nationwide strike over death certificates, saying it will seek legal action before it makes a decision but is adamant it is not backing down.
