A new book about the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has brought about controversy.
The book written by foreign correspondent Fred Bridgland – “Truth, Lies and Alibis” focuses on the notorious Mandela United Football Club and Madikizela-Mandela’s alleged involvement in the death of 14-year-old Stompie Seipei.
Apart from the content, the book has angered journalists and commentators, who had quotes lifted from articles they had written on the struggle icon, without their approval.
Andrea van Wyk from the eNCA spoke to the author, who’s been labelled an apartheid apologist by writer Sisonke Msimang.
