Numsa threatens strike action

Johannesburg – The National Union of Metal Workers (Numsa) is mobilising for possible sympathy strikes.

The union is threatening to strike for an 8% wage increase.

“We are currently in a process of mobilising our members in all sectors to say prepare yourselves for the possibility of a sympathy strike in order to support members in engineering,” Numsa spokesperson, Phakamile Hlubi-Majola said.
