Johannesburg – South Africans can be expected to pay R18.20 cents a litre for 95 unleaded petrol at the pumps on Wednesday.
Higher international oil prices and a significantly weaker rand/dollar exchange are the main drivers behind the price hike.
But, the Department of Mineral Resources has also introduced a slate levy of R6.58 cents.
Both grades of petrol will cost 19 cents more a litre.
Diesel will go up by 55 cents per litre and a litre of paraffin will now cost 50 cents more.
