Johannesburg – Professor Salim Abdool Karim is embarking on a new journey.
Professor Karim has been appointed to a nine-member scientific panel of advisors at the World Health Organisation.
He served as co-chair of the inter-ministerial advisory committee over the last year.
The professor stepped back from the role to resume his work on HIV and AIDS research.
