Ramaphosa condems Mthokozisi Ntumba’s killing

Johannesburg – President Cyril Ramaphosa says the events that place at a student protest outside Wits University are deeply disturbing.

The president has condemned the killing of Mthokozisi Ntumba during the protest on Wednesday.

He said the circumstances that led to the death of the 35-year-old must be thoroughly investigated, and the law must take its course.

He further affirmed the right to a peaceful protest.

Ramaphosa said that the government is working towards a sustainable solution to ensure young people have access to higher education.
