Johannesburg – The NICD says infections seem to be showing signs of a sustained downward trend, reporting just short of ,200 new Covid-19 cases.
The majority of new infections are from KwaZulu Natal with 594 cases.

The Western Cape follows with a record of 366 new cases and the Eastern Cape at 329.
All other provinces recorded less than 300 new infections.
The NICD said 160 new deaths were recorded across the country.
