Johannesburg – Telkom has announced Serame Taukobong as its new CEO.
Starting mid-2022, Taukobong will replace Sipho Maseko, who has led the company for the past eight years.
Taukobong is a veteran in the telecommunications industry across the continent.
Under his leadership, Telkom’s Mobile business customer base grew three folds and its revenue almost doubled to R20 billion within three years.
Telkom Mobile is the third largest mobile business in South Africa.
The group said the appointment of Taukobong will ensure continuity of its value unlock strategy.
