Johannesburg – Cash-strapped consumers hoping to withdraw some of their pension money while working will not be able to do so until 2022.
Former Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, said late July, there was a move to expedite the matter of partial early withdrawals.
But, Treasury said legislative processes and amendments must be followed before this can happen.
Treasury also said the Government Employees Pension Fund will be excluded from the proposal.
