Johannesburg – Water will gradually be restored to the City of Joburg, Rand West, Merafong and Mogale City municipalities from Monday.
Residents have been experiencing water cuts due to a power supply failure at the Eikenhof Booster Pumping station.
This affected water pumping capacity in these years.
“Because it is winter, the consumption isn’t as high as it could’ve been in summer, meaning that we can replenish our reservoirs quicker, provided consumers don’t consume as much,” said Eddie Singo from Rand Water.
“There are areas that will start getting water today [Monday].”
