Johannesburg – A Democratic Alliance (DA) ward councillor in Cape Town has been arrested on fraud and money laundering charges.
It’s alleged Nora Grose facilitated Temporary Employee Relief Scheme funding to an NGO for personal gain.

She is also accused of siphoning-off food relief funds from the city.
The sub-councillor, 64, handed herself over to the Hawks early on Thursday morning, before making a brief court appearance.
Grose allegedly colluded with an NGO to funnel R170,000 in food aid money to a church, to which some city officials are linked.

She has been released on bail and is expected back in court next month.
