Aliko Dangote of Nigeria remains the richest person in Africa, with an estimated $10.3-billion (R134-billion) net worth, according to the Forbes Africa Top Billionaires 2019 list.
Dangote (61) owns Dangote Cement, the continent’s largest cement producer.
The second richest person in the continent is Mike Adenuga, worth an estimated $9.2-billion (R120-billion), while number three on the list is diamond heir Nicky Oppenheimer who is worth $7.3-billion (R93-billion).
Isabel dos Santos, worth $2.3-billion (R26-billion) and Folorunsho Alakija who is worth $1.1-billion (R13-billion) are the only women who are featured on the list of the top 20 tycoons in Africa.
