Zondo commission seeks extension

South Africa

Johannesburg – The state capture inquiry is seeking another extension.

Commission chair, Deputy Justice Raymond Zondo, has applied for a 3-month extension to complete its work.

The commission has cited the lockdown among other things that have delayed it.

Zondo wants the High Court in Pretoria to allow the commission to continue until the end of June.

Among some outstanding testimonies is that of former President Jacob Zuma who is refusing to appear.
