Johannesburg – Covid-19 cases in the eastern Cape are on the rise.
That is the word from Oscar Mabuyane.
“COVID-19 cases are increasing at a rapid rate in our province,” he said.

Nelson Mandela Bay and Buffalo City in the Eastern Cape account for 50% of active Covid-19 cases in the province.
Mabuyane said the virus is moving fast.
“That means that residents in both metros must take extra care of their health during this festive season because the virus is spreading faster in these two metros.”

The premier said only 10% of Covid-19 hospital beds are in use in in the Eastern Cape.
Mabuyane said this is good news, but urged people to get their jabs and protect themselves.
