Johannesburg – Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi visited Tsakane Secondary School where a Grade 10 pupil died last week under mysterious circumstances.
It is alleged a teacher and caretaker were involved. An inquest docket has now been opened.
Lesufi said the department will appoint an independent law firm to investigate the death of Nhlanhla Tshabalala.
