Two people got killed while another one got wounded in a shooting incident at a Tembisa Taxi Rank on Gauteng’s East Rand.
According to Police, the two men randomly opened fire on unarmed civilians. The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
Gauteng Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says both suspects have since been apprehended, and two unlicensed firearms were recovered.
“Community members managed to apprehend one of the suspects and he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm. And also the one who got away with the Polo, police gave chase where they cornered him, arrested him and found him in possession of an unlicensed firearm. Both suspects will be charged with double-murder and attempted murder. Our investigation continues. At the moment the motive of the incident is unknown.”
