Cape Town – President Cyril Ramaphosa needs to explain to Parliament his alleged utterances made in a leaked audio recording about the use of public funds for party activities.

Controversial ANC MP Mervyn Dirks broke ranks with the party and asked Parliament’s finances watchdog, Scopa, to investigate.
Dirks has been suspended for petitioning the committee on the matter.

Scopa’s giving Ramaphosa ten days to respond to its questions in writing.
